The 艺术学院 has an ambitious 而且 lively research culture. We are a community of practice-led researchers, historians 而且 theorists. Many staff members have significant experience of professional practice.
研究 processes are fundamental to the work 而且 development of our undergraduate 而且 postgraduate students, whose teaching is enriched by the research activity 而且 interests of doctoral 而且 postdoctoral researchers, all of whom are also experienced 而且 committed teachers.
Our academics regularly achieve national 而且 international peer recognition for their contributions to knowledge, 而且 we are committed to sharing the outcomes of their work publicly, 从事知识转移, to the benefit of communities within our region. Much of our activity involves partnerships with colleagues based in other universities 而且 with professional organisations 而且 companies.
There is a range of beneficiaries of our research: professional artists/ illustrators/ designers; individuals 而且 organisations in the subsidised arts 而且 creative 而且 cultural industries; the public; children 而且 young people.
