Childcare
At the University of Worcester we have an on-campus Nursery, accredited by Ofsted
Our in-house Nursery ‘Unitots’, is situated on the University of Worcester’s St John's Campus and takes children from 3 months up to school age. The Nursery is self-contained and has large outside facilities. It is also possible to access facilities on the campus such as the gym, sports centre and nature walks.
A safe learning environment
The Nursery provides high quality care and education in a safe, stimulating, secure environment. Children are supported by a highly motivated and experienced staff team. Staff recognise and value each child as a unique individual, developing in individual ways and at varying rates.
Nursery opening hours
The Nursery is open 50 weeks of the year from Monday to Friday, 8am-6pm, except Bank Holidays, University holidays, the last full week of August and Staff training days. Staff and community users can book from the available session times throughout the year. We do not offer term-time only bookings. Students book from the available session times for a semester or longer dependent on course length.

For 2022/23 and the fees are:
Child under 3 |
£6.47 per hour |
Child over 3 |
£6.14 per hour |
Lunch (optional) |

The reduction in the hourly fee for children over 3 years comes into effect the month after the child turns 3. Fees are reviewed annually.

Applying for a place
Places are very popular. If you are interested in a place, it is advisable to put your child’s name down early as we operate a waiting list system. To do this please complete and return the application form.
Parents/carers are welcome to visit and take a tour around our childcare facilities. If you have any questions, please contact the Nursery on 01905 855277 or email: unitots@worc.ac.uk
Unitots Nursery Go Green Guidance
Unitots Nursery have been part of the University of Worcester’s Green Impact Scheme for six years. The Green Impact Scheme is an environmental accreditation and awards scheme run by the National Union of Students to bring green campuses, curriculum and communities across the country. With an increased awareness of environmental sustainability we introduced the concept to the children and continue to include it routinely in the curriculum.
We have accumulated ideas on how to encourage young children to become active participants and have produced a Unitots Go Green Guidance booklet to help other Early Years Settings develop children’s awareness of how they can help to look after their world. Please take a look, we hope you will find this useful.
