A 博士学位 normally requires 3 years of full-time or 5年 of part-time study. Your work must make an original contribution to knowledge in your field of study. You will be expected to show evidence of systematic study; 而且 of independent, critical 而且 original thinking; while your thesis should be worthy of publication in whole or part.
An 硕士研究生 normally requires 2 years of full-time or 4 years of part-time study. Your 硕士研究生 should demonstrate your ability to undertake an appropriate research programme 而且 to produce a critical analysis of existing knowledge in your field of study.
A 专业博士学位 通常需要4年的非全日制学习. 作为向导, the taught programme is generally completed within 18 months 而且 we expect that for most students the thesis stage will be completed within a further 2.5年. Like the 博士学位 your work must make an original contribution to knowledge but with a particular focus on your own area of professional practice.
